Woodborer Fumigation

There are a wide variety of borer that could potentially infest a structure or item, namely:-

• Longhorned Beetles
• Italian Beetle - Old House Borer
• Brown House Borer
• Wharf Borer
• Furniture Beetle
•  Pine Bark Anobid
• Powder Post Beetle
• Cossonid Wood Borer
• Shot Hole Borer
• Jewel Beetles
• Bark Beetle
• Pin Hole Borer
• Hide Skin Beetle
• Cadelle Beetle
• Various other organisms of lesser importance

If a Structure or wooden item is infested with any one of the above, then the following process would be required:

1. The structure or item would need to be covered or enveloped in gas proof plastic sheeting
2. Gas is the inserted into this for a period of 24 - 48hrs depending on the type of wood and borer found.
3. This can only be undertaken by a qualified fumigator whom is a government registered pest control operator.
