Woodborer Fumigation
There are a wide variety of borer that could potentially infest a structure or item, namely:-
- Longhorned Beetles
- Italian Beetle - Old House Borer
- Brown House Borer
- Wharf Borer
- Furniture Beetle
- Pine Bark Anobid
- Powder Post Beetle
- Cossonid Wood Borer
- Shot Hole Borer
- Jewel Beetles
- Bark Beetle
- Pin Hole Borer
- Hide Skin Beetle
- Cadelle Beetle
- Various other organisms of lesser importance
If a Structure or wooden item is infested with any one of the above, then the following process would be required:
- The structure or item would need to be covered or enveloped in gas proof plastic sheeting
- Gas is the inserted into this for a period of 24 - 48hrs depending on the type of wood and borer found.
- This can only be undertaken by a qualified fumigator whom is a government registered pest control operator.
